Hoyt Street Building	This project was a 5000 sq. ft. warehouse which we converted to retail spaces. Since the building is located in Portland's historic "Pearl District," we wanted to retain the neighborhood's industrial character in the facade.
We removed the roll-up door and created an alcove with glass walls, which gave access to the three new retail spaces inside. Existing skylights were replaced and new ones added to give more natural light to the interior. The building now houses a restaurant, a frame shop and an art gallery. The challenge here was to meet the exiting requirements, since the building is surrounded by other structures on three sides.
